"Malik is a responsive teacher who works hard at meeting the needs of his diverse learners in his classroom. He is constantly trying innovative approaches to help his students have more engagement and agency with their learning. Most recently he had students prepare a lesson plan to instruct the class on a specific major battle. Once this was completed, he let his learners be the instructors. This is just one of the many approaches Mr. Floyd utilizes in his classroom. He constantly reflects on his teaching practices and identifies how his students’ learn. He then takes that and applies it to his classroom. He is always receptive and willing to learn and try new ideas. Mr. Floyd is a professional in his approach and attitude towards staff and students.
