The purpose of The Scholars Academy is to provide advanced learners with a quality education beyond the traditional AP level. Through a partnership between Spartanburg County Schools and USC Upstate, the program allows students to take college courses and advanced high school classes over four years while still participating in classes and extracurricular activities at their own high schools.
Eighth grade students interested in applying to The Scholars Academy for 2018-2019 may download an application for completion. Applications are due by 12 noon Friday, February 2, 2018 to Mrs. Nichols in Guidance.
Interested students and parents are encouraged to attend one of the informational sessions held in the University Readiness Center at USC Upstate on either of the following dates:
Monday, November 13, from 7-8 pm
Tuesday, January 16, from 7-8 pm.
(Attending a session is not required but highly recommended.)
